Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were tiny and poorly ventilated but equipped with a small kitchen area with a microwave, which was useful and the price was excellent considering Reykjavik's high prices. However, after a long day touring, all I wanted was a hot shower and comfortable bed to rest in.
The hotel was in a convenient location, close to the supermarket and right by the Hallgrimmskirkje, making it easy to access various places in the city. The rooms were a mix of good and not so good - clean and spacious but overpriced, with some being small, dark, and not adequately maintained. The service provided was friendly and courteous, but there were inconsistencies in communication. The dining options were subpar, starting at a certain time and at a relatively high price. The hotel's facilities were standard with no exceptional features.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room was really clean and spacious, but unfortunately had a horrible smell coming from the bathroom which tainted the whole atmosphere. The location was great, central to everything I needed, but the noise from the wind on a stormy night was quite disturbing. The service was friendly and accommodating, although there were some issues with DIY repairs instead of professional tradespeople.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although spacious and clean, had a lingering smell of water damage and were in need of refurbishment. On the bright side, the service was quite helpful but had some lapses in attentiveness. The location was outstanding, with convenient access to most of Reykjavik. The dining options were limited but decent enough if you're looking for a quick bite. The facilities were basic but functional.
The hotel's rooms may not look as good as in the pictures, but they do have a kettle and a microwave, and overall, they are clean and offer decent value for a budget range. The service here is friendly and helpful, with staff that is very kind and willing, even assisting with airport shuttle arrangements. The location is excellent, just seconds from the church in downtown Reykjavik and right beside bus stop #8. The dining options are not elaborate, but sufficient for a quick meal, although at an additional cost. The facilities are of average standard.
